Miss Cristina Duquette began her dance career with Connecticut Dance Theatre & the arts at the age of three. Within her dance career, she was asked to join the CTDTA Competition Team and competed all over the state and East Coast, winning many prestigious awards in both group and solo performances. By the age of fourteen, she began assistant teaching. Since, she has actively choreographed routines in tap, jazz, ballet, and hip hop for both recreational and competitive classes. Her group and solo performances have gone on to achieve many judges’ and overall awards. Miss Cristina just received the award for "Best Choreography" at the Imagine Dance Competition this past May for her number Sneaker Night .
Miss Cristina holds a Connecticut certification in Elementary education. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a concentration on Mathematics from Central Connecticut State University and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Technology Integration from Southern New Hampshire University. At the present time, she is currently working as a Curriculum and Instructional Specialist for a Montessori school in Hartford. We are thrilled to have Miss Cristina as a staff member for both recreational and competitive classes.
